"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
There is nothing more in life we desire for our kids, than to see them living out God's calling on their lives. The Plans I Have For You is such a fun/encouraging book for young children, that inspires them to know they are designed for a specific purpose & each one of them are so important to the body of Christ. We are His hands and feet on this earth & God placed a specific, unique purpose on them since birth.
The author, Amy Parker, does an excellent job explaining how they fulfill that purpose - by listening to God & reading His word. Can you imagine if we each fulfilled our purpose on this earth what an impact that would make on this big world?
It's always fun to ask your kids ... hey, what do you want to be when you grow up? Yet after reading The Plans I Have For You, I felt compelled to ask some different questions ... What do you enjoy doing? What talents do you think God has gifted you with that can make a difference in the world? Those aren't questions we ask often, but we should be. And honestly, we should be asking them of ourselves too. It's never too late to fulfill your calling in life.
I appreciate how the book spurs on these important conversations and I feel like this is a book we'll enjoy coming back to often. And coming December 29th, the author is releasing The Plans I Have For You Journal AND Devotional. How cool! I can't wait to get my hands on both ... I love having these types of conversations with my kids & I love how simple and fun the author makes it!
